Mine also does it. I didn’t notice it for the first few days but it could have been doing it the whole time. There are lots of things I don’t notice. Mine also has the broken orange pieces. I figured it was from them removing and reinstalling the interior plastic piece to do the bed liner.

For the guys blabbering about how stupid the feature is and what a bunch of lazy wimps we are for not being able to close it and that’s why they are so expensive and yada yada yada. There are tons of features on these trucks that are nowhere close to necessary. We don’t need 75% of the s&$@ on them, but that’s why they also sell base model work trucks. If we wanted a truck with no frills then that’s what we would buy. On the other hand if I’m buying a loaded out truck and it has cool features you bet I’m gonna use them.

Powered tailgate. A solution in search of a problem. Why on God's Earth would anyone want another electronic doodad on their truck? I mean, great the tailgate powers down as you approach with an armful of stuff. You still have to put it in the truck, so clearly your arms aren't broken.
How can the door open if you approach it with your arms full??

For those wondering what the tailgate should sound like, fast forward to 13:10 in the video below

Throttle House Gen3 Raptor
He didn’t close it electronically. That’s what all the hubbub is about. Members here posted their video showing them closing it electronically & that’s when they hear the “loud” sound. Am I missing something?

Mine has a loud snapping noise when I close it manually as well.

Agreed.

They don't sell a base Raptor. I miss the good old days when you could spec out and order exactly what you wanted, option by option. Paying out the nose is bad enough, but paying out the nose for features you hate is worse.
