Has anyone removed the front license plate? I got my truck off a lot in PA, but it was ordered in NJ so it has the factory front license plate put on with pop rivets. Id like to remove it but I was wondering if anyone has, how big are the whole and are they noticable?

If not I was just goingto place a nice plate on there if that is the better option?

Just pull the plate outward and the rubber grommets pop right out. The holes are visible, but certainly not as noticeable as a front plate. If you don't like the look you can pop it right back in.

My front plate was also riveted into place. I was able to get it out by pulling out the rivets with pliers. It took about 15 minutes trying to break them loose, but they did come off. Just pulling on the plate to get it off won't work with metal rivets. They have to be physically broken.

I used the holes as part of the way I bolted on my light bar. The main attachment points are between the front tow hooks and the frame, and the bumper is the secondary attachment.

go to pepboys and pick up some plastic push pins. they usually have a big variety, you can probably find something that is pretty tiny just enough to plug the holes and not look as bad as just open holes.

or go to home depot and get some flat stock and bolt together an erector set looking light bar and electrical tape the dangling wires to take your focus off the holes in the bumper lol sorry I couldn't help myself haha

Used Allen head cap screws to secure light bar using the holes in the bumper formally for the front license plate holder:

thanks for the pics guys. It definitely looks a lot better off. The wholes are not bad for now, but I will probably pick up some of the plastic push pins to cover them up when I get to Lowes next.
