I saw that time too, and on the surface, it seems sort of concerning. But, IIRC, not only were they at elevation but it was 100 degrees too.

The GEN2 was in the low to mid 5 second range, and there's no reason to believe the GEN3 will be much different. The only comment I have heard from GEN3 owners is that there seems to be a lot more torque down low when compared to the GEN2. All that being said, I'm still expecting something in the 5 second range.

But, to your point, now we need someone to go prove it!
I totally agree and think the gen3 will be nearly identical to the gen2 0-60 time wise. But no doubt the heavy 37’s slow this truck down so many that’s why TFL had such an unimpressive 0-60.

Please help me to understand why the 0-60 time is so important. Is your decision to buy based upon this? Are you looking for a race-ready truck from factory? What is the significance of this 0-60 thing? Should I refuse delivery if it’s not as advertised? What am I missing here?
The length of your favorite body part is inversely proportional to your 0-60 time. A V8 gets you an extra 10% on top of that.

My Gen2 went 5.2 with rollout and 59degrees outside with premium fuel...If the TFL test was representative of how the truck was going to perform it would have been a sheer embarrassment. 108deg. probably low octane fuel contributed to the dismal times

Also would love to see some real 0-60 times. Also would like to hear the exhaust under power and not just reviving it while in park…

Because it’s the standard for judging acceleration potential since I can remember? Final answer

But yeah. Totally unimportant. Who cares about accelerating onto the freeway or overtaking.
You say that as if there was an acceleration problem to begin with. None with with Gen 2, at least not with mine, and I don’t suspect there will be one with the Gen 3. So again, what’s the point or your point?

”judging acceleration potential”…the only useful thing you said. Thanks! Lifelong learner here!!
