Thanks for the reply, mine should be in this week and I am really contemplating putting it in behind the resonator. Any one out there done this? The only reason is I have had loud aftermarket exhaust setups with drone. Love them in town but it gets real old after a few hundred miles with the family. That is why the cutouts are so cool. Loud when you want it.

I'll go out tomorrow and try the cutout closed and let you know how it sounds at highway speed.

Anyone notice a burning smell right after install on the BadLanzzz? I ran it last night and this morning and am getting a fairly pungent burning smell.

Not meant to have a cutout???

I received the Badlanz cutout today. Looks WAY BETTER than the DMH setup as far as fit and finish.

I hooked it up to make sure it works ok. Well, I hit the switch and took to about the count of 5 to open completely. Went to close it. Counted to 5 and it shuts most of the way. The butterfly won't completely close. it closes to the point where if you hold it up to the light, there is a hairline opening.

Thoughts? Was going to have the DMH installed Monday. No-Go

Wanted to have this installed tomorrow morning but might be a No-Go unless I can figure out why it is not closing completely.

Pics to come...

Well, just went out to take pics and tried it one more time...Works perfect. I'm thinking that I didn't have it fully connected to the battery the first time and it wasn't getting enough juice. This time I made sure I had strong connection. Perfect!!!

No to figure out where to power this from... Back to the post reading and surfing...

Mine did the same thing but once you get it heated up and it cools back down it'll close just fine something about the metal heating up it expands then when it cools back down it contracts and shrinks just a **** hair enough to fully close. I always give the switch a little live tap after closing it so the motor turns the flap just another good limitless push to ensure its closed all the Way. You can try that after holding it down for the 5 seconds. Can't wait to see pics you'll love it!!!:peace:

Also on one of the pieces of paper it came with it says to spray some WD-40 on it do the hinges operate a little smoother that might help it close as well it did on mine
