I am currently living out the truck and have a lot of worked planned. For now, Leitner rack, James Baroud Evasion XXL tent, decked drawers, and a shower cube. I’ve sold my tent and awning in favor of a new tent since this one just won’t do exactly what I want to do. There will be a lot to come as I have a lot of parts sitting around waiting to be installed.

The plan for this truck is to get to Alaska in winter and Death Valley in summer while I travel around for work and go back to school.

What exactly did you want your old tent to do that it couldn't?

The James Baroud is a nice tent but won’t modify well. Working as much as I work, I need solar panels so I don’t have to constantly monitor my battery power.

When I was in Oregon for three weeks, I ran into a large issue with ventilation. The fan isn’t large enough in rain storms that last for two weeks if I’m staying in it every night.

Plus, when I am closing and opening it every day when I’m late for work, I am having to run around the tent to tuck in the fabric. It’s a small quality of life issue that adds up after awhile.

Then the heating. I spoke with an engineer regarding a more elegant heating and ventilation solution than the diesel heater/fan and the fiberglass shell will create a massive headache.

I thought about it a lot and decided that the Bush Company Black Series Max would be the best option for me. Four windows for the desert and clamshell for snow. I am heading out to Vegas tomorrow for the install so I will be reporting back.

Now, I’m selling the decked drawers and having SVC build me a custom chase rack so I can change my bed storage around. I just opened many large boxes of parts today that I’m super super excited to install in the next week! It’s Christmas in March for me!

I'm not sure what I thought you were going to say but that is an extremely valid and well thought out decision. That Bush Company RTT looks awesome...can't wait to see your review when you get it up and running.
