GEN 2 Plastic Oil pan #3 leaking. 70k miles. New pan every other oil change. Help?

Quit acting like it's some type of spaceship that requires service. Nut, bolts, sealants and gaskets, just like every other car made.

The metal pan from the late 18+ engines is not a plug and pay type of thing. If you look back to the others that have tried to do it, it is a very labor intensive, time consuming swap.
If it were really that easy to just swap over to the metal, you would never hear about the complaints.

I believe you just need to replace the pickup as well. It sucks cause you need to drop the front diff partially and float the tranny cooler lines to make room.

Guess I'm ****** on the ************* known bad part. Truck has leaked oil pretty much most of the 4 years I've owned it. I'm so pissed.

Why is the warranty useless? If you weren't out of warranty by mileage, it would be covered. I second @CoronaRaptor suggestion, if you had it repaired post-TSB, I would contact the dealer and request that they stand behind their work and repair it correctly.

Totally get it. And because you know the procedure and have had to deal with it leaking multiple times, you’ll follow it to the letter, which a mechanic may or may not do.

Dealing with this crap right now, thought it was my brother's Crap Chevy leaking oil at my mom's house until I noticed drops on my garage floor. First time I took my truck to quicklane in years because I was being lazy. :badidea:

Crawled under and the damn plug leaking like a SOB, it also looked like they decided to chew on it before they put it back on :chair:

Live and learn I guess

Ordered custom, bought new.

I have spoken to the dealer I bought it from as well as Ford customer service.

The plastic oil pan is a KNOWN issue, it will be repaired under warranty under a tsb, post warranty it is out of pocket for another plastic pan.

I will fix it MYSELF and it won't leak, something Ford can't do.

If the service center damaged the oil drain plug, document it and bring it back to them and demand a fix. Drain plugs don't damage themselves between oil changes.
