GEN 2 Plastic Oil pan #3 leaking. 70k miles. New pan every other oil change. Help?

This bums me out a bit. I use an independent mechanic for most of my routine maintenance. (Would prefer to do it myself, but some stuff is just easier with a lift, and I have a crap back.)
At my last oil change he noticed just a hint of a leak around one of the pan bolts.
I have to take it to one of the local dealers to deal with, but most near me leave a lot to be desired. Looks like I’m driving 50 miles to a known trusted dealer.
Following to see how this plays out.
Good luck, sucks you have to go through this a 3rd time. Fingers crossed it’ll be the last.

This is why I’m wanting to stay away from 2017/2018 Raptors.

Every model year has its quirks. My truck has otherwise been flawless. Unless you want the active shocks (which I kind of wish I had) nothing wrong with the 2017/2018. Besides you can’t get the best color, lighting blue, unless you get an 18. [emoji23]

My 2017 was lightning blue and if it was still an option my 2020 would be lightning blue and most people wouldn't even know I had a new truck.
I put 42K miles on my 2017 and was lucky that I never had the leaky oil pan issue.

There is a TSB, but the parts/labor are only covered if you’re under warranty. When was the last repair performed? The TSB didn’t come out until 02/2020, so if the repair was performed before that, it wouldn’t have been sealed correctly.
At 70k you’re out of powertrain warranty; do you have an extended warranty through Ford? If not, and you bought it new, you can contact Ford corporate and see if they’ll cover all or at least part of the repair since it’s a known issue (TSB) and it’s a repeat repair.

I actually wanted white. It’s almost always my first choice color, but I bought used, so the lighting blue was my second choice. (Red 3rd, any of the grays 4, and black last.)X2

Now that I have the lighting blue, glad it’s what ended up with. It’s almost indistinguishable from the performance blue unless you see them side by side, but I like that Ford only used it for a couple years on the Raptor. (Makes it feel exclusive, even though it’s really not.)
