Sounds like metal bouncing around, unusually lasts for about 30-45 seconds at morning cold start ups. Dealer today said it's the starter, saying the starter bendix is staying out? I'm not buying their diag. See my YouTube vid below for video of sound:

I'd buy that diagnosis, if your not sure get under the truck, right under the starter and have someone start it. You may be able to tell if its coming from there, you can even rest your hand on the starter to see if the noise jives. Is the truck under warranty?

If you are handy at all, I would change it yourself. It's rare for the starter to go that early, but it can happen. Definitely sounds like it's coming from that area (hollow sounding).
