I wish I could find the part I used. Pretty sure it was a Yamaha part straight from Amazon

I was wondering what those tabs were for in the center console!!!

I actually made a thread a year ago asking what the hell those tabs were for. I even posted a picture of the underside of the lid. It was quickly pointed out to me that it even says "PENS" on the lid. I never saw it, even though it was in the picture I posted! :rolleyes:

That thread is where I got the idea from. I think someone actually suggested storing one there. I just ran with it after I had an immediate failure.:D

That's not true at all. IWEs are in the hub, not the transfer case. My understanding is that IWE deletes are like permanent hub locks.

So technically, I should have said, "You wouldn't be able to switch in and out of 4 wheel drive PROPERLY anymore." I said nothing about a transfer case. Why would you ever want your hubs locked all the time, instead of replacing a $15 part? Especially when 98% of these trucks spend the majority of their time on the street.

Well I installed my new IWE valve and I am still hearing the clattering noise at high RPMs in 2wd. Not sure what to look for at this point.
