Yeah I got to drive a new 6.7 and no doubt they spin the tires like crazy. It probably is more truck than I need(the 6.7 that is) but you hit the nail on the head with limited availability for raptors and no scabs. I just found out my truck was totaled today so I have a little bit of time to keep looking just not a ton. Never a good time to get a truck totaled but right not might be one of the worst in terms of what Ford is doing with their new lineups.

If you need any help w/ getting $$$$ I’d gladly send you the final appraisal on mine....34k miles 801a screw 2018 & paid me $68k+

Honestly- it’s not the worst thing to go w/ a 6.7 SD instead of a gen2 raptor, the SDs just got a redesign & you already know the raptor/F150 is all new & you could have that diesel for 2-3 years & legit swap out for a new gen 3 raptor lose practically nothing on it, those diesels hold value like nothing else

One consideration is—if it is important to you to be able to park your truck in the garage. My wife and I have our Raptor SuperCrew and an F250 CrewCab w/6.75” bed. Both fit in our garage because we have a very long/wide garage for the trucks.

Most standard garages may be lucky to fit a Raptor, but not likely a SuperDuty.

Gotta ask b/c it’s kind funny- but if you got the SD b/c you “haul heavy loads” & tow a 30’ trailer regularly, + drive off road on oil fields regularly, why on earth would you put 22” wheels on it!?!?!?

I saw an F250 w/ pretty much same setup (wheels had some kinda weird offset stuck out but more than normal) & he was towing a huge smoker/BBQ trailer loaded up w/ ton of stuff in bed too, the way he had it parked the front wheels cocked to the side I swear it looked like he was just gonna lose the bead & maybe there’s 2.5” of sidewall? How in the hell could that make for a good ride in a 7k lb vehicle!!!!!

The air suspension allows me to have larger tires. Offroad I raise the truck up to clear crap on the lease roads and not bottom out in pot holes. The trailer I haul long distance is for a tractor and equipment. I have a different suspension setting for highway hauling, lowers the truck so the trans is more in line. For the tires there isn't much difference from the stock 20's and the aftermarket 22's I went with, I am not a fan of those huge offset wheels. It actually rides smoother than my Raptor (Raptor had King coil overs) because of the air suspension. Here is a pic on lease roads without a load. When I have a load it is about 2" lower.

When I had my Raptor and this truck was stock I was always bottoming out in ruts. Getting hung up in some of these areas means waiting hours at times for someone to come by. Cell service isn't the best.

If you're not towing heavy, not hauling heavy, not really going off road... Get a 2021 F150 FX4 Limited and enjoy the new tech
I’ve debated the new f150- probably the only way I’m going to do it is with plans to supercharge it(have a little too much Ricky Bobby in me). Just don’t know if I want to void the warranty on a mew truck and feel like I would be underwhelmed with a stick 3.5 or 5.0.

The resale value is a good point. And they actually paid out more than I paid for it by a few thousand, so I drove the truck for literally free for 30k miles and absolutely no complaints there.

The hybrid is faster than a Raptor

haha same & then some for me, my OTD sales price on the ‘18 including the ttl & extra $672 I had to throw in to cover balance of the 100k warranty (they gave me $1000 credit toward it in the deal along w/ tonneau) was $63,890 on a truck w/ a $66.8k sticker @ the time hahahahahhaah

so yeah- they paid me & then some, covered my mods too

that’s one perk of Raptor ownership

like the look of the truck & ride height, air suspension sounds awesome would def look into that if I had a SD truck, still not a fan of the 22”s though - but to each their own, I’d probably stick w/ 20”s

Although I saw a Harley Davidson F350 in person & I think they come w/ 22”s & it looked sick....I mean it may have been the best looking “stock” factory truck I have ever seen tbh, but too over the top for my tastes

I have a huge thread on this exact scenario when my 18 screw was totaled Halloween 2020

long story short- I was looking at tremor w/ 6.7 diesel & came to the conclusion it’s just too much truck for what I do & the gasser version wasn’t an option for me as it felt underpowered

luckily I was able to find an 801a screw 2020 new in lead foot & got it for $1k under sticker (def sellers market these days) now at this point I imagine even harder to find a new raptor & even harder to find one without ADM....not sure how many scabs were made in 2020, but my guess is bout a bakers dozen cuz I never saw or heard of one and I looked everywhere

At end of day if I couldn’t find another new raptor that fit my needs/wants I would’ve gotten the F250 tremor w/ 6.7

I had my raptor tuned & have a 720whp vette- I’m all for power/performance, but even I can admit if you’re not towing/hauling/plowing regularly a truck pushing 1000+ TQ is simply insane, especially b/c the superduty trucks offer only regular 4x4 no 4A or awd option like the raptor, w/ an empty bed the thing spins tired all over the time w/ just normal throttle input, would need to change driving habits a good deal b/c on top of that they’re much worse at cornering (obviously) however the ride quality & general handling are WAY improved over previous SD trucks - and the way they pull @ highway speeds given the size & purpose is just not right lol

I have a 2020 Scab with 802A package, no sunroof, and no sticker package. I live in IL and bought in Virginia to get the truck I wanted. It was a pain searching for it.
