My plan B was to drill two holes in the top of the skid plate and mount the top of my license plate to it. Then I planned to bend the plate back so that it followed the contour of the skid. So, sorry, must have bent it on a snowbank if questioned. That fixes the OCD/symmetry problem and doesn't block any airflow.

We gotta run both plates up here. On trucks, the validation sticker is on the front, cars on the rear.
Half of the plates are peeling and not visible. Plate is laminated with a vinyl film. Stupid.

Would be nice to have a magnetic mount so you can just pull it off when you want to drive like a delinquent.

This may be a stupid question, but does the CAC opening have to be in the center like it is? Since many states require a front plate, couldn't ford have designed the opening to be off to the side, or perhaps split with the plate in between? That seems like it would keep you at full capacity without having to remove the plate, or mess with the symmetry. I understand that the collision sensor is also down there, and can't be placed in front of metal, so space is limited, but you'd think there would be better alternatives than this.

States that require front plates are doing everyone a disservice. It costs the residents more, and eats up resources.

Ohio finally ditched it as part of the "deal" to raise gas taxes. So it's "pay us more for gas and you won't have to **** up the front of your car with our loiscense anymore" Thanks ********. Worst part is- after the deal was done, they tried to renig on it and eliminate the front plate elimination while keeping the tax increase. Seriously- WTF? That didn't actually happen though- so I'm no longer an outlaw after not putting front plates on my cars for over 2 decades.

I don't think the point really was whether the front plate was needed, but whether Ford could have designed the truck knowing states were going to require front plates.

But anyway, I don't quite see why front plates are unnecessary. The purpose of the plates is so the LEOs can quickly identify vehicles, correct? Are we saying they never need to do this while looking at the front of the vehicle. I imagine it's mostly needed from the rear. I mean, when pulling over to get a ticket, the rear is all you need. However, I would think front view identification would come up often enough. I'm not saying that front plates are necessary, I've never heard any reasoning why they aren't necessary.

That is good to know. I was considering going without but toll roads are a must where I am. :-/ Maybe that off center option won’t look so bad now...

Photo radar. They need to have picture of your face and plate in same frame.

But I think law enforcement has better things to do than stop you for no front plate. And they know that Raptor owners fully support and back them.
