2018 Raptor - Ambient Lighting

Well if its like the previous gen sync the POS wouldn't stay on what you set it on anyway. Both my 13's with sync will not stay on the setting for long and will default to the light blue. I guess if you cant fix it do away with it.

There's a long thread on F-150 forum about how to get ambient lighting. After you forscan the icon and color menu onto Sync, You need to replace all of the light modules with 2017 F-150 parts. The exception is the cup holder light ring which is an F-250 part. Someone over there has done the mod and has the required part numbers listed.

Dont loose sleep over the lighting. The colors are lame. Nobody says, I feel like green or red today. 99.995% leave it on Ice Blue which matches the rest of the instrument lighting.

I can’t see any of my ambient lighting other than the cup holders. Where are the places it should be located and how to turn it on or brighten it? 2018 model here.

I quite like it, as has everyone I've showed it to. The colors don't quite match their descriptions in some cases, tho. Purple is actually pink, for example.

So that would mean they cannot change the intensity of lighting also ? Bummer

I don't think that's an option even on the 2017. Never fiddled with mine anyway. I do disagree with others though. I really like the combo or red and black, so the ability to set the ambient lighting to red is rather nice. I can't say the functionality is a deal breaker for me, or that I'd go through the mod to enable this if had a 18'+ model, but I do see it as a perk of the 2017.

Hope it comes back around on the gen 3 Rap.
