So thought I'd bring this thread back to life instead of starting a new one, now that I'm a tad bit, and I mean a tad, smarter.

I've been doing more towing than I thought I'd do. I got the 16' V nose ATC trailer for my 2021 Can-Am X3 Maverick XRC. The trailer is somewhere north of 2k pounds empty and the XRC is about 1800 lbs I believe.

I'm getting some squat, but worse, the front is up in the air.

I'm considering upgrading the rear springs, but I do not want to change the ride height when not towing. I'm old and can barely step up into the Raptor now. I miss my electric running boards in my Platinum, but no, I'm not getting them for the Raptor.

This is exactly what a weight distribution hitch is designed to solve. It will push more of the load onto the truck’s front axle. I tow a 7700lb boat+trailer through the Rocky Mountains with my WD hitch and the setup is unbelievably solid. No adjustments to my suspension.

I went with a Curt Trunnion bar Weight distributing hitch with option for seat control.

I still upgraded my springs though

I'm looking at picking up an RV travel trailer. Will do Deavers. Was tinking +2 HD to help with tongue weight but don't want to trash the ride. No plans on springs for the front right now. Wondering if I can comfortably get away with +2 SD and a good WD hitch?
