The part number I posted is for a gen 2. I made a bracket for it that bolts on to the area above the left side of the brake pedal assembly.

It works well for what it's worth and work with the ford pass app on mine. I made a led light assembly that plugs to the two pin connector on the module as well.

How difficult was this to install? For someone who isn’t who isn’t very good with wiring, on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being most difficult, how would you rate the installation?

I simply ran it from the module up the left side to where it can be seen from the outside (lower left corner of the windshield)......not a real professional installation, but it looks good.

It was plug and play you unplug one connection and plug it into the box and the other side plugs into the other side hardest part is mounting it works great, i have mine set at about 3/4 and if you slap your hand on a fender or hood it honks anything harder alarm sounds if you jack up the truck with the doors locked alarm sounds. Very glad I got it.

What metal bracket are you taking about? Is this a ford OEM part?
