Just a heads up for anyone looking to buy these. DON'T!!!! I picked some up thinking they would be an easy install but that's not the case. These things started scratching my fenders so I had to stop the install. I gave RPG a ring and they said to put tape on the inside of the fender. The tape doesn't really do anything because the pressure from the metal on metal just goes through the tape. My advice for anyone looking for A Pillar mounts is to steer clear of these and try something simpler.

Naw. I knew the space was going to be tight so I went into the install with caution. I started to tighten down the mounts very slowly and as soon as they looked like they were getting close to the panel I backed off tightening them. I removed the mount to see a very small scratch on the inside of my fender. The mount also had a scratch on it as well from rubbing the inside fender. Luckily my truck is black so I was able to take a black sharpie to it.

The RPG a-pillar mounts are very similar to the SDHQ mounts. SDHQ includes a small piece of rubber that is designed to go between the fender and the a-pillar mount to prevent damage. While it's nice to have the mounts and the lights a bit further out on the fenders, this is one of the drawbacks. Alternative Offroad makes a nice set that moves the lights slightly inward and installs to the hood hinges.

We've got plenty in stock if you're ever wanting to switch over.

Ya I just noticed the SDHQ mounts have the small rubber piece that @OffroadAlliance.com mentioned. Not sure why RPG didn't do something similar or update their design on these mounts. I personally am not that stoked about scratching the fender up but I guess others may not care as much.
