2019-2020 Voltage Question.

I installed my Whipple IC yesterday I had laying around from my 17 which led me to watch the gauges and noticed something weird. The gauge reads 12.5 driving down the highway but when I lift off the gas it goes to 13.5-14, get back on the gas and it goes back to 12.0-12.5.

Its called a smart alternator only charges when needed or coasting or braking . I disconnected mine on my 14 f150 . My 2019 Raptor i have not messed with it.

I was watching mine on way to work this morning . i was at 15 volts for 10 min then to 14.5 v . before i got to work.

Because I'm not driving the 2019 truck very often, I often leave it on a smart trickle charger and I have noticed that once it reaches the maintenance mode, or full charge, on the trickle charger, which is usually about 24 hrs, the truck will make a clicking noise like a relay is turning on or off every minute or so. So I end up disconnecting the trickle charger but I've never had this happen on any other vehicle, any ideas?
