Factory Remote Start

I've had my truck 30 months and have averaged about 2 remote starts every day. I frequently get out of my truck to go into a store and immediately remote start it so it's still cool/warm. The truck is fine but I can confirm what someone else said about remote battery. My key fob started having very weak signal after around 18-24 months and I switched to my spare.

there are no ill effects from a remote start. hell i have been installing aftermarket ones for 20 years now. the only bad things i have seen from remote starts are improperly installed ones. since ford designed this to work with with the truck during the build process, its engineered to work just like a key. granted, i installed an aftermarket system, but i wanted more range and more features, regardless, its a convienence accessory that will not damage your system in any way.

I use it all the time and haven’t had any issues. Most of the time I use the ford pass app on my phone

Jaw just dropped and then a quick search revealed that's a '19 onward feature.

Yea I just say hey Google start my vehicle via the Ford Pass App and then it asks for my four digit pin, after I say the pin it states "sending the start command to your vehicle" and it starts.

It's a little bit to set up but not that hard.

The first time I did that in front of my brother he was like no way, LOL!

Another Google command is when I wake up in the morning and I say hey Google I'm up, it will turn on Bluetooth, give me the Weather forecast, the drive commute going to work, any calendar appointments, reminders and a custom message, then return to the home screen.

No issues here either.
