Does the diff cover come with a gasket? Or do you need to purchase one separate ?

Get it from Freedom Motorsports, comes with a fine gasket and new bolts. fill to the bottom hole, torque to 14 ft/lbs.

I second JohnyPython above, spend a few more $$ for the LL gasket. Put that on when I did mine, and haven't noticed any moisture wicking out from the seam between the cover and the diff body. Seems to be a solid product.

I just purchased the identical diff cover... The poor man's version that doesn't have the Ford Performance Badge. Includes new bolts and gasket. It has the Dana logo or something on it. Cost less than half the price on Amazon. With the money I saved I bought some hight test lube and a Lube Locker gasket and still had money left for a great case of beers.
