I've seen prices creeping up in the last year, too. I got mine in May 2020 and my buddy just got his two weeks ago. Both very similar in year, options, mileage, etc. and he paid $10k more... I do think I got a great deal, but in helping him look I could tell prices were up about 2-3k from when I was in the market. Great for resale if you ever were in a pinch.

Hmm I must be doing something wrong? I just for giggles wanted to see what Carvana would offer. I have an 18 fully loaded minus carbon fiber and reactor seats 24,000 miles and they offered 42,000. They are smoking some good stuff!
Private party you could get at least $10,000 more and I think that is way too cheap for this level of truck. Can’t even buy a Taco for that price haha.

I have a loaded 2018 minus carbon fiber, graphics, and the orange seats. 35k miles and two dealers each offered me $55k. Try going to an actual dealer?

I little off topic, but I CANNOT believe what people are asking (presumably getting) for Tacos, FJs, etc. My cousin is a big Toyota guy and shows me prices of listing... it's NUTS. He recently sold an old FJ with > 200k miles on it for north of $10k. I mean... it was in good shape but dang.

Funny enough, over inflated Taco prices are what got me into a Raptor. I was coming back from deployment without a truck and was looking at getting a TRD Pro Taco (previously had a TRD Sport) but was amazed that they were 55k firm plus some dealer's actually put ADM on them. At that price it was easy to justify a few more bucks to gain WAY more power, capability, features, tech, size, space, etc. with the Rap. Looking back I'm glad I did, taco people are cool, Raptor people are a cult and I like that.

Exactly the position my cousin is in right now. Sold his FJ (his DD and beater) and is selling his TRD Sport Taco. With that amount he can nearly buy a new Tundra TRD Pro or slightly used Raptor.

I haven’t. I was just curious what I could get. I have 8 payments left on it. Bought it new 2 years ago. Have had to replace a turbo and three steering wheels and a few other small parts. But over all enjoy it.

I'm tempted to go to CarMax, just to see what they would offer.
The problem is, I don't know of anything I would replace my Raptor with. I find the TRX interesting but 700HP isn't really doing anything for me. Not to mention you can't get a TRX right now. All my local dealers are sold out.

I originally bought the Raptor over the Gladiator (which has been a very smart move) I don't think I can go back to a small truck.

The only realistic reason I can see for selling my Raptor is to go down to one car for a while and save up for a 2022 Raptor. I work from home, so I can easily pull that off. My wife and I could just drive her Jeep for now. We're planning to trade that Jeep in for a Bronco Warthog, when it is released.

You had 3 steering wheels replaced in two years? What was up with that?
