Since when....is that a Californiastan issue? I have been with golfers who hit windows and were forced to pay for damages. You may want to check that.

The golfer is responsable for their actions at all times.

Prolly do it yourself... and mcguyver it with a couple hot glue sticks and pull it out.

Ps. I been watching too many idea hack videos with my kids.

If it hit the glass top it would've been an easier repair LOL.
Just do the PDR and move on.

Not necessarily. I had someone back into my non-raptor truck at a Costco parking lot and dented the bumper. I chased him down in the parking lot when he tried to drive away. Got the license plate number and called the cops. After a few interesting conversations, his insurance company sent me a list of auto body shops to get an estimate. I asked if I HAD to use their shop because I use and EXCELLENT shop when needed. They said that I did not have to use their shop, but would send me a check for the estimate that their shop gives. A few weeks later I was sent a check for about $800. I kept the money and sold the truck a few months later through Carvana for the same price that I would have gotten with the new bumper.

Also, if you are in Southern California, check out Jack Williams Auto Body. Jack Williams said that they would match the estimate if it was reasonable, which it was.

Get an estimate from collision and get paid, repair from dent removal, or forget it.

Regarding insurance, you're talking about your auto insurance correct? Not a golfer personally, but I've never heard of any insurance that a golfer might carry for golf ball damage.

I envy anyone tall enough to even see that

I play golf and I am always afraid when one of my balls fly's outta bounds.

If I knowingly hit someone's property and damaged it I would make good but most of the time as a golfer you have no clue where the ball ends up if it goes that far out of bounds.

I would try to get the $ from the golfer and just sit on the repair for a while or call a PDR guy and see if they think they can fix it.

A golf course is a “known hazard” and if you choose to live on a course, play a course, drive by a course etc...you accept the risk therein associated with the known risk of damage/injury from errant golf balls. Anyone who has been paid by a golfer for damages got lucky. Unless you can prove it was done with intent which would change things.

PDR can fix that, I had 31 dents in the roof of mine from softball sized hail(truck sits in garage now), about 6-8 of them flattened the ribs in the roof, guy got all that out, worst case, a roof rack would have covered it.

$200 and a day in my area to get that fixed.
