Sync v3.4 Update Out

Sync v3.4.20282 is now listed as available to users. Most recent previous build I could find was was 20136. Can’t find a changelog...Update can be found on https://help.ford.com/update-sync/

3.4 is only a native update for 2019 and 2020. It can be installed on 2017 and 2018, but it's a manual process not supported by Ford.

Anyone else find this odd in the output log xml file? Just installed a Cobb tune not too long ago so I'd rather not upload that fact that I have a tune straight to headquarters, at least make them work a little

I'd be interested to see this value on a unmodified truck, and potentially one that did the uninstall prior to updating sync.

I don't know software. What in that code says it is looking for a tune?

I don’t think there is any data that goes between Sync and the PCM. Sorta looks fairly normal that code in regards to the update. I would find it hard to believe they are looking or any info regarding a tune is verified on this particular vehicle.

Mind you 19-20’s are even more connected and they could look for things in other ways vs through a Sync update.

Mine is on 3.4 build 20136 and it says it’s current vesrsion no update

Will this version fix the ability to search for songs on a USB MP3? The last update broke that and says search is not allowed. It has worked 2 times in the last few months after the last update.
