2035 is what the news reported. California can pass all the laws they want. It's all PR/BS anyway. When the goal proves impossible, whoever is in power at the time can move the goalposts and catch the flack. The guys in power now get credit for hugging trees. When you couple greedy politicians with an uneducated electorate, you get this sort of silliness. If I were cynical, I'd wonder why a state that spends so much per student on education can rank so low on student achievement. I'd even wonder if it was intentional.

California is full of a bunch of nutters man so I really don’t have much faith, but I’ve been surprised recently when they voted down reintroducing affirmative action. I don’t even think this EV thing was voted on (could be wrong), so it just seems like they can mandate and do what they want. Let’s hope they do decide to change their minds once 2035 gets closer

Not to derail the TRX v Raptor thread further but... EVs and ******-fornia? Fully electric vehicles are still in their infancy even though CA tends to embrace virtuality vice reality.
However comma, from the looks of the Mach E and Electra-F150 Ford is leading the charge, (so to speak) again.
Time will tell how that affects the mighty Dinosauraus Raptorian.

I think for the cost of a TRX I could keep my Gen 2 Raptor and by a gen 1 Raptor. Then supercharged the Gen 1 Raptor, add a trick suspension, a full desert set up with two spares and full beadlocks. I could then fill up both trucks, insure them for a couple of years and still save s*** ton of money.

That’s kind of how I think of it too, except I don’t even know if I’d be interested in the TRX if they were priced similarly to a raptor, hellcat and all. I never considered myself brand loyal, but I can definitively say that with a raptor, it’s the only vehicle I’d buy again if I wanted another truck. This is after owning a Tacoma and driving a Ram plenty. Both had their appeal to me at the time but there’s just something about the raptor that makes truck lovers swoon.

I must also add that it’s also the first vehicle I bought fully loaded and has spoiled me going forward in all my vehicle purchases

I would (somewhat) consider the TRX, but they aren’t even out yet in quantity, correct? I see zero on EBay. I just built one with the pricing tool and fully loaded looked like ~$94k. Plus my mods as I can’t drive a stock vehicle. Wonder what the initial ADM will be.

I just wish Ford would stop ******** around and announce and release something.

TRX doesn't even come in supercab format which is a deal breaker for me and many others. Hopefully gen 3 will keep the supercab even though it is less than 10% of sales.

I agree with desertfox, I test drove one of the high end Rams just to see what's makes it "less and bonds" over every other brand. Although the Rams interior is very nice, I was so damn confused at the whole center lay out. Its like a Microsoft switchboard. Instead of offering a road course if you purchase a new Ram I would need a interior control course. Even though the 2021 F150 stepped up its game interior wise they still kept it pretty simple and less congestion so the driver can manage things in the center while on the raod.

The TRX wins in my book and I do love it, my main issue will be reliability if the TRX could handle the way I drive and stand's the abuse the TRX will be my next truck.But on the other hand ill be waiting for the Gen3 too, for a fair comparison then pull the trigger on the winner.

The reliability part that concerns me with the TRX is the AWD system. I’ll be curious to see how that holds up the first couple of years. That will tell the true story for me.
