ARB Twin compressor install

you guys are awesome! I think I will follow JPV's lead and mount in the cabin under the right rear pax seat using the Bajamod mounting plate. Will let you guys know how it turns out. Not expecting any problems thanks to all the info you guys provided

So just finished installing mine in the rear bed clip. 2 red wires to the battery, 2 black wires to ground of the vehicle, purple wire to switch 6. So how water proof is the twin ARB? expecting rain and kind of worried

As much as I hated losing that space, that's why I mounted it in the cabin. I didn't want to risk potential damage considering it was not a cheap investment lol.

Mspeed is correct. the power draw comes from separate wires that go directly to the battery. The leads to the up fitter is only for turning it off and one. very little amps go through that. Hi, I have just received Expedition Essentials extension harness for the ARB twin compressor. I am mounting the compressor in the truck-bed on the battery/passenger side. Does anyone have experience/guidance on a good route to run the harness the length of the truck and into the bed? Or, if you know of a previous post where this is discussed. Thanks on advance!

nice, I was thinking of mounting in a similar location. I currently have mine bolted to the built right panels in the bed, but I want it out of the way.

Have you had much problem with mud with it being mounted there? I was thinking of maybe mounting a little angle iron or something beneath it as a mud/water deflector.


And yes, the answers here are correct, the built in relay draws basically nothing, I have mine wired to switch 6 without issue.

I have mine mounted to the passenger side bed wall. I normally have a bed cover on, but when I take the truck to events, I take the bed cover off. It has rained on it some, and I have washed it off with a hose, I just don’t blast it or anything. The bed rail does shield it some and you can do a remote filter set up if you wish. I cut the builtright panel out around it as well.

I love your install here. How is your compressor physically mounted to the side of the bed?

Bolted through the bedside with fender washers and lock washers. I used 7 of the 8 holes rather than the 4 recommended. The 8th hole is a little off and I couldn’t get the bolt in, did not want to remove them all to drill it out the one remaining one so.....

It has held up fairly well at the 5 offroad events we made it to this year.
