anybody find a silution to the tailgate cap falling off ?

I snagged mine putting up a tire in my tire rack and now like swarf works have gotten used to slapping it on when it falls. I probably have warranty but been too lazy since it’s a simple slap on.

I guess when it rains it pours, never had a problem with it and then at a bonfire the other night i had friends sitting on my tailgate and i had the step down and when they got off it popped off, then it came off again when I was unloading some boxes yesterday. I have an extended bumper to bumper warranty on my 18’. Does anyone know if ford will still cover it under my warranty?
