I have a 2018 with 49k miles. I have an AFE Momentum XP intake, which I know is more for looks than performance, but am considering a tune by either Cobb/Goose or MPT. I don't want a louder exhaust and not really interested in swapping out the intercooler, at this time anyway. Is there anything else I should do to support the tune or make things more compatible? I've read you should get colder plugs, and a better BOV since the stock plastic one won't handle the higher pressure well. How necessary are those, or other, supporting mods?

You're good to go now, you don't need to have any other mods to install a tune.

FYI, you're in the wrong section, not to worry it seems lots of folks are doing it.
You may get more responses if you post in the Gen2 section on this forum.

Is there a way I can move it into the Gen2 forum? I can't find a way to do it. Or to delete it from this one.

I highly recommend the COBB AP with Goosetuned custom tuning. It has really woken my truck up and is unbelievably more powerful. I have daily driven it for 6 months and no issues at all, like others have said the tune is all you really need right now, supporting mods like the new IC will help but the tune is by far your biggest bang for your buck.

Second the Cobb Accessport, it’s been a great tool. The best part is they have a number of pre-built tunes for different stages of your performance upgrades that you can interchange as you mod. Then once you’re all done, grab the goose tune.

The Rap intercooler is the same unit used on the peasant F150. Invest in a solid intercooler. Depending on who does your tune and how much boost they try to pile on, you’re going to be generating a lot more heat, and could rapidly end up in heat soak, at which point the truck is going to go into survival mode, cut the power until the heat comes down. You could add an alcohol/water sprayer in front of the intercooler - I’ve not see any reports --on this-- application but have seen some mixed, positive results on other air to air CACs with this mod. Or you could go to a larger, stock location intercooler.

There are some stage one tunes that don’t go crazy and don’t “require” an intercooler, but, if you add even a little boost, you’re adding a bunch more heat.
