Ok my 2017 I had a spot that looked like it was sanded straight from the factory. Ford repainted the door no issues

My 2019 has been great. A single scrape on the fender from transport but nothing I’d care to have to repaint

I've said this before...

The raptor is NOT a $75k truck.

It is a $30k F150 with $45k worth of performance and features upgrades. Oh and that $30k base f150 isn't even $30k. They can be had for <$25k with end of model year rebates typically...LOL

For the mechanical noises, take it in to the dealer, its under warranty. Cetrainly shouldn't be getting a grinding or marbly sound.

This. It's a cheap truck with a bunch of fancy hardware and tech bolted on. There's no reason to expect your paint quality to be any different than a completely base F-150. I'm not a paint snob but mine did come with one significant flaw that looks like something under the paint that the factory or dealer tried to touch up poorly.

My tailgate has uneven gaps on the left and right. Again, it's assembled as an F-150 and the people building it don't care about it any more than a base model.

My driver door latch is improperly spaced and I have a few furniture sliders stacked up in the door to keep it from rattling.

Mine also makes a significant mechanical wine at idle that I'm told some do and some done.

If you live in a metro with a handful of large dealers you can probably find one with competent service. Out here in the sticks neither of the Ford dealers in driving range have a clue when it comes to anything non-standard. I would never trust them with anything fit and finish related and I'm just happy as long the truck is mechanically sound and the tech isn't glitching. I paid $72k for the performance and the tech features. I'd have bought a BMW M2 if I wanted performance and fitment.

Yes, but the truck still shares its basic manufacturing and design with the standard $30,000 F-150. The materials are better but you’re not buying a vehicle that’s designed to a $70,000 starting price point.

My Gen 1 and Gen 2 paint has been perfect or good no real noticeable issues. My 2018 F150 Lariat had some trash in the paint on the passengers side rear and for some reason the drivers side rear door was miss stamped which made it make a weird sound when it opened and closed.

Both of those issues would have been covered under 3/36. Unlike Toyota, where the paint falls off out of warranty:

Like has been said if you want quality then buy a Toyota, Nissan or Honda

You’ve got to be kidding. Apparently you’ve never been inside a Tundra or Titan, they’re dead last in quality and their interior plastics are playskool grade. Toyota can’t even keep a frame or leaf springs under their “trucks” without them rotting through, you call that “quality”? You’re clueless.

Titan is a joke, even their press models, which are vetted just as all OEMs do, broke down during both long term reviews. Nissan consistently ranks poorly in vehicle quality and dependability.

IIRC, that model of Chevy/GMC had frame issues. Hydroformed ladder frames were bent when they were tied down during transport.

To the OP, welcome to FRF. Comments might be a little rough but they are all truth. Your handle suggests you are a bimmer boy. If that is what you are expecting in terms of fit and finish, and other things as well, you are in the wrong place with the wrong vehicle. The Raptor is great at what it is, e.g. doing Raptor stuff, but its not going to compare on those type of aspects to a more "normal" $75k luxury vehicle.

Shoot!! Sorry I was focusing on dat a$$, not the Tundra ***** stamp.

My eyesight is awful now. I think Ford did the same test on Chev/GMC.

I like Tacos but I wouldn't buy Toyota. Can't stand Nissan hamburger car (logo looks like a burger) Honda? Maybe a lawnmower.

I drove a Nissan Frontier SC 4x4 for a few years and it IMO was a cool truck. Nissan's v6 is NICE and the supercharger made it sound mean. It could a lot of offroad stuff. Granted I am not a fan of the Japan full size trucks as they are not really full size. They make the Titan in Mississippi and they have lots of support in the south for their trucks.

Lincoln had a truck for a few years and then they stopped. Would not mind another Lincoln truck based F150 to hit the market. The Platinum are nice but Ford could definitely move it into the up scale Lincoln territory.
