You can do everything the PC does and more with a tune and your Gen1 isn't under warranty. I've seen multiple Gen1s with PC have issues while offroad, throwing codes and putting the truck in limp mode until the PC is removed.

You mean you let them psych out to admitting you put a Tune on.
These guys are pros at beating the customer, that's their job.
Or you didn't return to stock before bringing it in to the dealer?

I run a Sprint Booster on my’13 SCREW, essentially the same thing as a PC, and it’s awesome. I installed a custom JDM tune that compensates for the throttle lag, but I was too use to the Sprint Booster that I re-installed it. I’ve had no issues with running both and it makes my truck very snappy
The PCM only counts the amount of flashes, it does not tell Ford that you ran a Tune.
So all you say is I don't know, "I don't mess with the truck, maybe the recalls I brought the truck in for".

I've never had a problem with the PC. It has worked well. I like it. Had it for years. I have no need nor interest for a tune.

Gen 1 high mileage with pc I feel like it makes truck more fun to drive! No issues

I just put mine on PC . I have read enough bad reviews I'm constantly worried about "What is that noise" , " Does the transmission feel like its shifting weird". I ended up taking it off and just run my truck in tow haul mode. I think it sounds cool the way it down shifts in the tow haul mode. IDK

I have PC, and JDM whippe tune... been 2~3 years, no problem so far.
