Custom ordered my 2017 SCab 802a with sunroof. 23k miles so far no rattles. Maybe because my stereo is on pretty loud whenever I drive, but I'll definitely be watching this thread in case something develops.

I believe these claims of no rattles. My passenger side doesn’t make a sound. Just a shame both sides aren’t like that. Even more a annoying that it’s inches away from my left ear.

If anyone has any ideas please chime in here.

I’ve been thinking about realigning the door, or trying to shift the striker bar inward possibly.

I tried taping the upper striker bar. No change.

I've isolated it to the pillar window area. It got worse after my last offroad run, so at times it is clicking multiple times in 3 or so seconds. It seems to be above where the seat belt holder is, if not directly behind it - pretty much directly across from my ear.

It is pretty much all trim and molding. The window trim (where the keypad is) has a piece that actually comes 'inside' the door, and it seems to make the same noise I'm hearing. I've seen others complain over time the piece will begin flexing in the wind, causing noise, and this has been my suspicion from the get go. It seems the most likely culprit, but outside of replacing it (which is a bit of a process) I see no immediately apparent way to stop it.

There are several other pieces that could be moving and making the noise, but I've no idea how to stop it, minus perhaps replacing them, which I'm doubtful would make a difference.

Wow, I guess I'm lucky! Had a Gen 1 scab never made a sound and now a Gen 2 scab and it doesn't make a sound either.

Alright, so pushing out on this trim piece seems to eradicate the noise. Someone online pulled it off and had no noise, so something in there is rubbing I think. Anyone know how to take it off or do I need to buy the service manual?

I have a 2017 and the only noise is something inside of the door that rolls front to back when I’m on a slope.
