I have a '19 Raptor with a GooseTune and have not had the need to tow anything yet. I may need to tow a 3400lb car with and aluminum Futura Supersport trailer on occasion.

Cobb recommends flashing back to stock when you tow. Has anyone towed with GooseTuned '19 Raptor and if so, what was your experience. Of course, I wouldn't put in "Sport" mode while towing. I just don't want to hassle with removing and replacing the tune every time I tow.

I recently asked Goose about it and he recommended that I flash to the stage 0 tune (stock equivalent?) prior to towing.

I have the Goose tow tune. I haven’t had to use it yet, but why not buy his tow tune? It’s not that hard to switch tunes on the AP.

@wgr73 any thoughts on this?

I wouldn't recommend towing anything with a tune. A performance tune is not going to take into account the additional stress on the powertrain that occurs when towing, especially in terms of heat dissipation.

Sorry I'm late to this thread guys, I just saw this!

I'd recommend either a tow a file, or just flashing back to Stage 0. My custom mapping will make a TON of torque down low and when you load up a trailer that torque is made even sooner in the RPM band. Going uphill on cruise control would be my biggest concern. So for those reasons I suggest either one of those options!

I can say I have towed a couple thousand miles with the COBB stage two tune. It’s got so much trq you never have to smash the throttle down. That’s with almost 6000#
