Now that Gen 2 production has come to a end and the very slim used car market seem to have caused prices to increase. I saw a few optimistic dealers asking over $100k.

I just got done watching a video from the TFL guys, they said and showed the same thing in Denver. They ended up buying a 2019 at msrp.

I posted a thread bout a month ago when my ‘18 Raptor got totaled my experience doing a search within 500 miles of Boston (basically northern ME to NJ) the deal w/ NEW Raptors on the lot was such-

The only trucks being sold for msrp straight up (no dealer invoice or discounted prices to be had- period) were base 800a or a handful of 801a trucks & they were harder to come by- luckily I actually preferred the 801a over the 802a package.... so that wasn’t a concern for me.

802a trucks ALL were given ADMs $2.5-$6k except for 5-6 “rocky ridge” trucks some dealers had that I think they almost “bait & switched” as they didn’t all really indicate they had that “package” done to them. Outta those trucks a couple were being sold w/ markup but most we’re going for msrp & 2 slightly discounted in a way (were not charging the full amount of the rocky ridge stuff) & I think it’s b/c as the new Raptor supply shrunk most serious buyers were more knowledgeable/discerning & dealers realized the rocky ridge crap isn’t necessarily a selling point to many prospective buyers- it’s a deterrent.

now a month later I see a local dealer asking $10k over msrp for 802a trucks

There are very few left now

So there really can be 90+k fully loaded 802a still out there. Until word of a Gen3 is coming and they are actually available, dealers will go for it all on the leftover ‘20s

I tried to close on 3 801 trucks in a month when I was shopping for my 2020. Ended up going with the 802 because the inventory was dissapearing before I could get my hands on one. I thought this might happen and it seems I made a good choice, I can see gen2s being very desirable in the future, not too many people i spoke with are happy with the new redesign

You most likely did a good thing, especially if your happy with the deal you got on the 802a.

Since the Gen3 has not been released or much besides on road mule grabs have been seen. Can people make a conclusion on what the new truck will look like or what the drivetrain will be about? Unless there basing things on standard ‘21 F-150’s and Raptor renderings?
