So everyone knows these wheels are an expensive option but do you know how expensive? My truck came with these wheels but my current setup supports 6 wheels and tires so I tried buying an extra. I contacted my local ford dealership and the guy in parts quoted me 1 wheel for $1,637. This is insane! What prices did anyone else get? I ended up buying on ebay, found one for $350 with a little bit of cosmetic issues.

Exactly! Being that its a GEN 2, plenty of take-offs on CL, complete sets and even with tires for that kind of Dealer price...I picked up a set or 4 BL wheels (2014 GEN 1, which are harder to find in FL) with 50% plus 2018 DOT tires for $800 last year, and in near new condition).

I sometimes offer my set of Gen-1 Special Edition '13 BLs up for sale for ~$1800 and all I get are bottom-feeders who complain that the new but old tires are a concern. I'm just waiting to until I wear out my current set of tires and will run them. They've been out of the UV light and temperature controlled. The rubber is as pliable as new. Even if there comes problems with being old; so what, replace them. Wheels & tires only had 25 miles on them. I later bought the new bead-lock rings & bolt kit from Ford too. Anyway, if I get the right price for them I may sell them; if not, I'll run them soon enough.
If I have to run aftermarket, I'd go with Method wheels then get some billet hub adapters made to help make it hub centric; otherwise, OEM wheels are always best since most of the time the aftermarket will-not/do-not make wheels with the same specs as OEM (e.g. offset, hub diameter/centricity, & etc.). On some of my rigs, I have my OEM wheels converted to Bead-locks, and that has been the ticket for goodness. No wheel bearing failures or odd steering feel--Just Awesome!!
In terms of price, it's all over the place, and you'll have to hunt down wheels on a daily basis on CL, eBay, and swap-meets/expos/etc. You'll just have to decide how bad you want them if you happen to find one that might be 6hr+ drive to get them or ship them to you.

All depends on how the tire has been exposed/treated/used(or not used--sitting but exposed to the elements). I've had tires that look older than 25yr old tires that are only 2yrs old. Then have had tires that were 10yrs old, in proper storage, and then put into service for many trouble-free years.
I'm running this wheel as a spare so cosmetic issues arent a huge deal for me when it came to buying the wheel. I thought about getting a set of KMC wheels but the BL version doesnt have the right offset for me. Mainly for the monster valves cause no way in hell I'm drilling into oem now that I know how expensive they really are.

I am in S FLa. I inquired on a set of factory wheels and tires on Sunday that had been listed for a week at 1400.00 and they had just sold. There are sets listed from 1500-2800 depending on the wear on the tires. Probably going to buy the next set of new take offs I see in the 12-1400 range, for the tires if nothing else. Always nice to have a set ready to go.
