No one's leaving. Housing is still booming. Good luck!

Ya, you think that because you don't live in an area where they are all moving to. Since this Covid crap started, the influx of Bay area/Silicon valley people is ridiculous. Now that they can(or have to) all work from home why live in Ca.

I’m a property manager in SFbay and 50% of all my move outs are leaving the state. Rents have dropped 20% and show no signs of stopping.

As for bringing in a Raptor from out of state with under 7,500 miles, one needs current title, smog check, weight certificate, VIN inspection/certification, and fees. Lots of fees.

I don’t know of any ICs that are CARB certified, however the CAI will pass if it’s CARB certified and the sticker is on the truck somewhere. Your safest option is to reinstall the OEM IC and intake.

People are leaving man at a rate of 2 for every one incoming. Uhaul is charging 2500 to rent trucks that leave California while other states charge about 300 entering California.

This has been consistently the case since at least 2006 though. I've moved in and out of California multiple times and helped friends and family workaround U-Haul's pricing scheme doing the same.

Pro-tip: Check cities even a couple hundred miles away from your origin and destination. Especially cities one state over if they're close enough. Saved a buddy $2500 doing this ($5000 vs $2500 for a 26-footer CA-to-WY by setting end destination as Spearfish, SD).

I travel to Boston quite often prior to second lockdown. One of my best bud lives in Boston. Usually hit up Treehouse brewery and BT Smokehouse on my way up. Sick of the northeast winters.

me too! That + political climate (different issue no need to extrapolate) has caused rift in the family I’m just sick & tired of New England winters & seems like every year takes a lil bit more outta ya!

Getting into skiing/snowmobiling (I do the former) is a good way to help make the winter go by a bit easier- but I usually take a trip out west every year & that makes me wanna leave even more lol!

I like TX can go anywhere from there it’s just a flight away

I wouldn't even change the registration and then you won't have to worry about it. Which is illegal but worth the risk. Welcome to CA , housing is not cheap and taxes suck plus Newsom is an idiot.

In SD I guess you can move inland and save on a house, might as well as live in Nevada if you do that

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

Well.... If I had to choose NY or CA, hands down I would pick CA even though I lived there most of my life, and left 3 years ago, and yes I am still paying state income taxes there, even though I live in Florida. It is wicked expensive, you should make more money to make up for it, but NYC is not cheap either. Lots of opportunities, and those are heavily taxed. If you are not a democrat, you may as well as not even vote, because it doesn't count or will not count. Read that how you want. San Diego is awesome. Bay area used to be awesome, but is a wreck now, and LA...... yeah...... It is LA.... Embrace the sucky parts and love the weather. Nowhere is perfect.

SD is awesome!! The area , beaches, weather, the surrounding area like Del Mar, Solana Beach, Point Loma, La Jolla. But Just like everywhere else you'll have your ******** parts of town also, doesn't matter where you go. Cost of living is high but so is NY and the Bay Area. If your plan is working at McDonal's as a professional meat flipper, you're not going to make it. Better have two good income if you plan to live anywhere nice Cali.

That must have been One hell of a bet you lost to have to move to Commiefornia, I really feel sorry for you and anyone else that is forced to move there!!!
My advise is try to escape from day one in that hell hole 3rd world wasteland>Be prepared to pay LOTS of taxes plus the huge gas tax that is tied to inflation so it will always go up, I think its the highest in the nation. I heard someone say here that taxes are no more than New York, San Fransisco etc but everyone is fleeing those Hell holes also

Few questions for all the Cali Raptor owners. My team is looking to relocate to Cali, more specifically San Diego. My 2020 Raptor 802a has the "California Emissions System" but I had mod it with CAI and IC. Do I need to uninstall this and put back the stock parts?
Will i pass inspection going forward if i choose to leave the mods in? Should i be aware of any State laws regarding mods in Cali?
Same here, you should be fine.
