So, as other's have experienced a few times before, my panoramic roof broke last Saturday. The glass is fine, the motor is fine, just seems like the plastic parts broken. Heard the sound of plastic snapping as it was opening. Unfortunately, it won't even close now, and I've got it covered in a wrap.

Got an appt, with dealership to have it fixed on Friday. For those that have had this issue, what sort of cost am I looking at? Assuming parts are in, how long can I expect it to be stuck at the dealership?

Damn, pics of the tarp/wrap covering it. Others have phoned in and made sure the dealer had the parts ordered and in stock, so they only had to leave it for the day. Good luck.

TSB 20-2092 was released for this issue. The TSB pays one hour labor time, so they should only need your truck for 1/2 day at most from start to finish. The bracket kit has a retail price of $143.72. If the Concertina blinds need to be replaced, they are $30 per side retail.

Did you buy the truck brand new? If so, Ford corporate may be willing to contribute or cover the repair since it is a known issue with a TSB.

I was quoted ~1800 if out of warranty, but that’s Metro DC pricing, not Texas.

So this TSB is for sunroofs not currently exhibiting a problem?

No, it’s not a recall. It’s simply a directed repair for vehicles that have an issue. It standardizes the labor time and provides dealers with the updated part numbers.

Unless he is beyond the 3/36...

I am out of warranty. It's only got 22K miles on her, but it's a 2017 originally sold in AUG 2017 I believe. I got used a little over a year ago.

Thanks for this. That's about what I thought, after looking at the pricing on parts for the roof. The appt is 1:15 on Friday, so assuming they have parts, should be back that day or Saturday.

That sounds like they wanted to replace the frame, or the glass. My glass is absolutely fine, and seriously doubt I have a frame issue. I can't even see any damage at all. The tracks are clear, nothing I can see is bent or broken. Whatever the issue is, it's located in the rear that isn't exposed.

I think if it's something north of $500, then I may just have them seal it up. I like to open the roof, but not that much. I mostly just roll back the screen, and that work fine.
