Turbo blankets are generally for competition use to keep big turbos hot so that they spool quicker. I don’t think you’d see a difference on a stock truck, and I’d be concerned about damage to the turbochargers from overheating.

turbo blankets are really good for keeping the underhood temps down (heat soaking the brake booster, ECU & etc...) when you are mall crawling or going up hill. Since turbos love hot gas and the rest to the engine bay does not. To combat from the "turbochargers from overheating", if you are pushing the turbos hard...one should let the engine idle for a few mins to get the turbos back to an idle temp before shutting down the engine so the oil does not cook the moving items it lubes.

I’d be concerned about them causing a warranty denial. They might be good for folks in super hot climates to keep other things under the hood cool if you’re spinning them up with a ‘stage II’ tune for an intercooler. But on a mostly stock truck, it’s not like Ford didn’t do extensive testing in all climates on earth. It is an F150. I think any benefits would be offset by eyebrows raised in the service department.

I don’t see the point of a turbo blanket with the scrolls so close to the huge wheel wells. They must be a pain in the nuts to install also.
