Is icing on the headlights an issue?

Self explanatory. For those living in the snow and cold, have you had any issues with the headlights getting covered over from snow and ice when driving? Are there any good ways to prevent it?

I had the ACC sensor get blocked before lighting became an issue.

It’s easy to live here, you just have to adapt to your environment and get fat. I took that challenge on with enthusiasm.

I had my windshield ice up in a freezing drizzle. The defroster couldn't quite keep up on full hot, full fan, even though we were roasting like chickens at a barbeque. After I stopped and scraped the ice off the wiper blades, it kept up to the point where the corners of the windshield were iced over but the path swept by the wipers stayed clear. We were still roasting. The day was also warming up, so several variables. The whole front of the truck was a coat of ice, including the headlights. If Ford can't even keep the windshield clear, I don't think the headlights have a chance ...

I had no issues last winter even through some pretty serious snow storms.

Depends on consistency of snow/slush. If it’s a salt slurry you may need to wipe them down now and then - like any vehicle

Icing is common on the nose of the Raptor. Put some Rain X on the lens-see if that helps.

I believe so. I would read the directions.
I have PPF on my lenses and I’ve applied Beadmaker. I’ll see how that works.

YES, I have done it for years on my Raptor and anything else I drive, it helps so much with getting the bug guts off!
