2018 Raptor Engine Upgrades?

I have a 2017 raptor with a Cobb stage 2 and the transmission tune. I’ve been super happy with it. Those folks have been super helpful whenever I had any questions.

Cobb AP has maps for 87, 91, and 93. Use the best octane you can get even in a stock truck. The difference in mileage is noticeable and the difference in performance is night and day.

There are always folks that argue both sides of having a catch can.

A tune is a great way to go, I'd probably go with Goosetuned but JDM & MPT also get great reviews.

An Air intake mod. might help with a tune otherwise it's just louder on a stock vehicle.

Do a lot of research on catch cans and make up your own mind.

I did and that’s why I purchased one as pictured below is what's not going into my intake where it doesn't belong.

My 2019 scab has mishimoto intercooler, Cobb 93 octane stage 2 tune, afe intake, ams boost tubes, mishimoto hot and cold side piping. I’m happy with results.

Nice 0-60 time. Were you in 4A? What RPM did you launch at? Curious as I’ve never tried a 0-60 with my Cobb, but was just thinking about it the other day.

Here's the difference for me in 0-60 times on stage 1 and Goose stage 2 with tcm.
Even just swapping out for an intake and stage one was a massive improvement over stock.

Mods list- stage 1 93 oct off the shelf map from Cobb. COBB CAI, MBRP catback exhaust
0-60 was 5.1x on a slight uphill after hitting 20mph

Mods list- stage 2 with tcm tune- Goose tuned. COBB FMIC and CAI, corsa sport exhaust
0-60 was 4.49 on a slight uphill after hitting 20mph
I've hit 4.38s on a slight downhill equal to the uphill on the other one

Goose stage 2- Running Eibach leveling springs and RAS in the rear, with 20 inch VR 601s and Toyo AT3s

COBB stage 1 OTS- Running same setup minus the RAS in the rear

Hard to find a secluded level road where im at. I'm sure others can and probably have better times then this.

Can't stress enough at how easy the process with Win is. Extremely knowledgeable and super fast response times.
If anyone is contemplating the change, just do it. Completely changes the truck and driving it is so much better

I usually put it in 4A sport mode get it up to 2k and let it go. The times are much slower in 2 wheel drive.

Sport mode for me, 4A, hold down the TC button to turn off advanceTrac. I keep it in 4A for the whole pull

We actually just started carrying Whipple.

Everyone know Whipple for Superchargers of course, but they just came out with some pretty cool stuff for the Raptor.

This Stage 1 Calibration Adds 60HP and 120lbs of trq over stock and is 50 state legal!

Those numbers are based on 93 octane. You should be able to run on 91, it will just cut some timing.

Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate the help. I'm prepared to purchase the Cobb unit with a tune from a highly recommended tuner. I have exhausted the tuner with all my questions and they have been very patient and very responsive. To conclude my research of this item and give me a little more "peace of mind", I want to ask the end users. Also, let me apologize for my naive sissy questions, but I just purchased a 2018 Screw raptor after being longtime admirer. My goal is to "wake the truck up" a little more performance is desired. Then maybe next year buying an IC. My truck still has the factory powertrain warranty. I do not want to void it or cause short/long term damage to my engine. Has anyone used a tune consistently for more than a year, on a daily driver that mostly sees surface streets, any warranty issues, and negative experiences from the install??
