As the title reads, I’m trying to get some different ideas. I tend to travel up to the Northern Nevada and other parts of the west about a dozen times during the winter and early spring where they get snow and moisture. With that said, I want to do my best to keep my Gen 1 that’s extremely clean underneath in the same shape it’s in now. I do have future plans for Line-X on the rear wheel wells and rockers, but that won’t come until early next year.

I am basically trying to find a solution for the coming months for the rockers and wheel wheels, as well as a somewhat permanent solution for the frame and rest of the undercarriage. Something that has to be maintained or touched up throughout the year is really not an issue.

With that said, I don’t see a reason to do anything as extreme as POR-15 or a KBS Coating “system” necessarily. I’m thinking more along the lines of the Amzoil Metal Protector HD or maybe a similar product that I may not have heard of yet. Regardless, something that’s relatively straight forward to apply and that can be easily maintained.

Any help is appreciated! Feel free to chime in with any recommendations or suggestions and the experiences you’ve had with these products. Thanks everyone!

Also I’ve use fluid film before and I think ACF 50 applies cleaner and nicer. I’d consider it an upgrade it doesn’t come off as easily as Fluid Film
