Well faster can mean a few things, the fastest to the top of the highest dune at WINCHESTER Bay or the fastest in the 1/4 mile? With the Gen 3 hopefully being even lighter than the Gen 2, I would think it will perform better offroad, so it will wait at the top of the dunes for the Dodge Bros creation.

IMO I don't think Ford will care to one up the TRX in the horsepower/QM side of this offroad battle.

Think their game plan is to build a better offroad truck.

Feel confident saying these trucks have more power than needed when offroading at stock levels. You'll need better suspension/brakes before needing more HP.

The Ram is a Godsend. Excited to see the competition benefit the us the end users. The videos of the RAM TRX offroading are just as impressive as any stock offroad raptor offroading.

Agree - the TRX is getting good press from all angles. The only knock is mpg, but let's face it, none of us really cares about that. To me, this TRX equates to a 13/14 Roush Raptor in terms of power/mpg.
I know I will be buying a V8 Raptor, or a TRX.... just waiting to see what Ford is doing. The TRX does look perfect though.

Not true. If the only engine offered in gen 3 is a blown V8, I won't be buying one. Ever. I could afford a single-digit mpg, but I can't tolerate a 250 mile range.

I agree. Don’t care at all about the MPG number. It’s the range that is a really nice to have.

now, if they fit a 70 gallon tank under that beast, I would probably buy it for that reason alone!

My father taught me at a young age, “he who has the largest carbon footprint wins”.

I wish ford would just put in a big block v8 NA from the factory with about 500ish hp and 500ish tq. That we be amazing. BTW I have loved the gen2 eco over my gen 1 supercharged. It really delivers power in a phenomenal way. But I always favor simple over complex so NA all the way.
