Yes set we are definitely in the same club along with goblues38
Since then several things have happened year by year by year.
2 ACL surgeries and 4 rotor cuff surgeries that have failed and now I’m waiting for a complete reverse shoulder replacement. Just about all of the damage was done to my left side which was dridev into the ground.my right side that was hit Broke my leg and ankle damage.

the worst was rolling on my back with the bike between my legs and that’s where the back damage started

Now I have a 5 level lumbar fusion, a Spinal cord stimulator to help control the pain and help with walking, and hopefully the thoracic level above will not break down next, the domino effect. And yes I still have a few bikes and just bought a 110 year anniversary Harley Dyna Super Glide. Between all of them I think I have put On 20 miles

I’m 42 and have had a good number of stitches but not one broken bone or surgery. Rode dirt from 7-16 and road 21-present. Some folks hit the lottery, I’ll gladly use all my luck on two wheels.

Jeez, sorry to hear about this BT. I missed this thread somehow. Glad you walked away from it, the rest you can figure out. That really sucks though, I know I would be seriously bummed if my truck got all smashed up.

Someone had asked about whether you need to notify the insurance company of mods, or not. In PA I was told by my insurance agent to keep the receipts, as long as I didn't go over $20,000. If I went over that it sounds like you need a rider on top of the regular policy. I would guess different states may be different.

I have been on a bike since I was 5 and starting flat tracking with both of my older brothers by the time I was 7 on a YZ80 AMA District 6. Thankfully I'm here like the rest of you!!!

Yes I have gone that route with my shoulder, Stem cell replacement therapy but at this point there is so much damage done that it needs to be replaced. As far as my back goes, I begged and pleaded to get an artificial disc replacement at the level above the 2 level fusion, insurance company said no, after filing a petition to get my case heard in a urgent manor it still would have taken up to a year before I went in front of a judge, and a few months after filing the level above ruptured and surgery was my only option in which my fusion was extended to a 3 level lumbar fusion. I`m 57 going on 87

I have shown this picture to some people and they say it looks like climbing rope and then I explain that it's taking place of my rotator cuff and keeping my shoulder in place, but everything else around it is damaged too and the bicep muscles are completely torn so I have a full on Popeye muscle lol IMG_2687.JPG

To answer your value question I can only offer a data point on a 2017. We bought in September 2020 as a Ford Certified Pre-Owned from a Ford Dealer in Foley Alabama with 55K on the Odometer for $52K. 802A, Moon Roof, Hood and Hips Graphics, Carbon Fiber, Tailgate Step, Forged Wheels, Tailgate Applique, Heated Steering Wheel, Raptor Technology Package, Second Row Heated Seat and factory spray in bedliner. Truck was well cared for and only marks on it were the front scuff plates from getting in and out of the cab.

Glad you walked away and best of luck getting this settled with your insurance company.

Edited to add price data point because I'm a dip$hit and forgot it.

Not to be a tool but where’s the data point?

I don’t know what state you’re in but that’s not even close to how it works in PA. So unless you’re in the guy’s state, none of that math applies. In PA, it’s up to your insurance company to decide what it calls a total. Progressive says if the repair costs less than the loss, it gets f’in repaired. It’s not minus the salvage value. I’ve been through it. Others are more like 75-80% but nobody subtracts salvage value.

either way, money aside, objectively, that truck looks repairable and I’d keep it and drive if without worry. Most of what’s broken is a drop-in totally replaceable lego.

Licensed auto adjuster here. Depending on what state you live in, insurance companies absolutely do factor in estimated salvage value when decided to repair or total a vehicle. Some states don’t allow that to be factored.
