Z06 vs GT3, over the course of a couple years id bet a lot of $$ the GT3 is the less expensive car to run.

ACR and GT3 are a great combo. Both absolute weapons on the track but polar opposite experiences.

PS, have you followed viper prices lately? [emoji15] ACRs are pulling big $$. Cant even find a nice TA under 100 anymore.

Now lose the tesla and get a Macan GTS.

aren’t they finally bringing the viper back? I know they were on again off again w/ it for a while. I think I heard it’s going to have a V8 this go around which- if true- May be a big reason why Used Viper pricing is Forming up/on the rise

Rumors, but nothing concrete (and i've asked some very inside people).

If it's just another car with a hellcat motor it will he pretty sad.

Hell as good as the gen V is, I want to get back in a gen 2 gts.

Viper ACR-E pricing is getting insane. Following the same trend as my manual murcielago, can't say I'm displeased!
I scored this ACR with 600 miles about 7-8 months ago from a dealership that had no clue what it was. Was able to work out an excellent deal too.
I drove a Macan S as a loaner from the Porsche dealership a few weeks ago. Wasn't terribly impressed honestly. It was 'OK'. Got the job done, really good audio system, comfortable ride but nothing to write home about.
The Tesla model 3 we bought last month and it's awesome. It's the lady's car. Really impressive though, within the first 5 minutes of driving it I was completely sold on the EV thing for most 95% of people (enthusiasts, collectors, and offroad excepted).

Manual Murci.... my man!

Agreed on the EV, but man the interior is lacking in those cars. For a DD I love the macan. But the turbo/gts are quite different from the S.

Still makes me smile seeing so many guys with awesome cars have raptors. More than a few of my friends that can drive whatever they want dd a raptor.

I've owned a C6 ZR1 since new (almost 10 years now) and have had the 2018 GT3 for coming up on 3 years and the GT3 has been cheaper per track day than the ZR1. ZR1 has and is an awesome car, but those huge tires, roughly $1k worth of brake pads and then every few years new set of carbon ceramic rotors ($5k so much cheaper than other CC rotors) and the 3mpg on track aren't exactly cheap.

I seem to get double the mileage on track with the GT3 (roughly 6mpg) and the tire and brake wear has been very reasonable. Then factor in the absolute zero issue with engine cooling and it's become my track car of choice. I've since modded the ZR1 (E85, pullies, headers, tune) and it's become my slide around town car.

Anyway, both great cars, but there is a noticeable engineering and build quality difference with the P-car. That said, I still love the Vette and plan to keep it for a long time.

The reason for the upgrade to a true race car (991 GT3 Cup car) is for all the added safety - full cage, fire suppression, halo seat, reinforced fuel tank, etc etc etc. My goal isn't to be the fastest guy on the track.
I daily drive my GT3. Just 3 weeks ago I drove my GT3 from Seattle to Thunderhill (northern CA), flogged it on track for a full weekend in 100*+ heat, then drove it back home about at 2400 mile round trip in one weekend without skipping a single beat.
Main reason for towing going forward is to have some security against a flat tire or other malfunction.

You've got my twin ACR-E!

Awesome stable you have there.

tell me please about your driveway. I have a 125’ long driveway that opens at the bottom to a wide apron, about 4 car width wide in front of my 3 car garage somewhat similar to yours, one large door for the 2 car, one regular door for the third.

I had 2” topper of what turned out to be a rough course of asphalt put down over existing about 7 years ago and it’s cracking like crazy and caving on edge near top.

I see no asphalt on yours but looks like concrete. Is that doable on mine? Much more expensive than asphalt? More slippery when wet or snow covered? I’m guessing lasts a hell of a lot longer. Ty.

He's in CA, we dont do asphalt driveways out here. Concrete or pavers is pretty much all you see.

If yours is caving, it's a failing subgrade problem not an asphalt problem. Talk to a paving guy in your area and see what they say. The freeze depths and road salt issues you guys deal with are a different animal to handle.

Im at a bit of elevation in SoCal and at worst we see temps in the teens with a couple inches of snow, but never ground freeze.

Honestly have no idea what the material is - the house and development is brand new as of early 2020. I have the last house at the end of the street, terminated in a hammerhead, which you can just see on the left edge on this pic (not at home to take a clear pic right now).
Seems like a real standard setup here in the PNW and it holds up well. No clue how much it cost though.

- New question on towing in snow.
I will be crossing the Mt Siskiyou pass late Novemeber and forecast is already calling for 'heavy snow', in an area with several 6-7% grades.
With the stock KO2 tires and a 5k load with 2 axles, how should I proceed?
I know the raptor can't accomodate chains according to the manual. I have tons of experience in heavy snow with the Raptor alone and know my limitations with it well, but the trailer is what throws me for a loop.

Air down the KO2s, no chains, add a set of chains to one axle of the trailer and keep it under 5 MPH?
