beadlock wheels would run down to 6 or 8psi..

but when you look at the tire at that psi, are you really gaining any benefit going lower than about 10PSI? I suppose even so, the bead lock buys you more ...inarticulate throttle use. :)

on a raptor, probably not, but i dont know for sure... I do know there's a huge difference between 15psi and 12psi, but ive never ran below 12 since i dont have beadlocks. i was getting stuck in the dunes in 4wd with 15psi, once i dropped it down i could do a lot of the big hills in 2wd as long as i carried a bit of speed.

Just to be sure, that's just normal wheels (without beadlocks), right?
That is correct, non bead lock wheels. I do not have bead locks on my Raptor.

On my RZR which has 14" NON bead lock wheels and 35" tires, I go down to 5.5 psi, but of course that is a very light machine with stiff tires, I would not try that on a Raptor. Knock on wood, I have never blown a bead. I did once get a stick stuck in the bead after going through the woods, but the bead did not come off.

Anyone ever try the trail control to get out of being stuck in the sand? I know they claim it will do it but I have my doubts. Might go out with a few friends(to pull me out if it doesn't work) and try it.

once you are buried to the frame in sand (which is really quick) no option will help you, except the friend with a strap option. i usually run 20psi in the sand and if i start to spin tires, switch to 4wd. usually will get you going. i have been down to 12psi when i couldnt get out of a ravine in the sand dunes after pulling someone out, (due to the soft sand, i had to pull him out going downhill) but at the top i aired back up to 20.
