They sold my trade in already... the Loan was paid out and replaced with the new one... so I can’t.

OK, you might not be getting your original truck back. But as far as the one you bought, can you walk away from that deal since you haven't taken delivery of it? I guess another question would be - who arranged transport, you or the dealer?

What I'm getting at is: if you haven't taken delivery, the deal isn't done, right? So if you can, walk away from it, let the dealer chase down THEIR truck, and ask them to get you another one or pay you what they bought your other truck for.

It seems like you're letting the dealer get off way too easy on this one? And again I'm still not sure you're trying to track down a truck that's yours.

Thank you for the detailed reply. The dealer arranged all transport, I did nothing but purchase the raptor. I cannot return the truck as my new lien carried over some negative equity. If they pay me back for this truck I’d still have a loan out for a decent amount ( tax savings I have to pay back etc ).

I know I’m letting the dealer get off too easily. That’s why I’m here for opinions. I just don’t know what to do.

I could try and walk away from the deal, but I’m not sure how well that would go with the negative equity involved if you know what I mean?

I’m thinking about asking the dealer for another vehicle that is equivalent to the raptor price wise as a rental and to refund every cent I paid them to arrange transportation on my behalf.

I agree with old fart. We can give you opinions here, but at the end of the day we can’t put pressure on the dealer like an attorney can. And they seem to be basically blowing you off.

Dude this sucks for you and I wish it wasn’t happening. Getting a new car should be an awesome experience and yours has been anything but that.

Someone with leverage needs to sit on these guys (the dealer) until the truck you bought arrives.

After calling an attorney I’d suggest calling the dealer and telling them they are on the hook for any payments on the Raptor until your truck shows up, along with the rental car bill.

Does Ford have any kind of vehicle tracking system?

I’d be interested in figuring out if Ford has a tracking system as well! I’ll be calling the dealer Monday morning and asking for my first payment, and the remainder of the delivery covered. If they don’t agree I’m getting an attorney involved.

Thanks for the great tips everyone! You’ve all given me some amazing suggestions that I’ll be using.

Damn, what a f'n nightmare for you. I think you need to contact the police and have a police report, did you not purchase insurance for the raptor already. Hopefully you have insurance, that is what the police report will be needed for, the insurance company should reimburse you for the total cost of the raptor including your trade in price.

I'm assuming you have insurance on the truck. First call your insurance co. Second call the police. Finally call a lawyer.
This is on the dealer. If you didn't have active insurance yet, the dealership's insurance should be made to pay.

Like others have said, file a police report and get an attorney involved. The dealer is the one who arranged for the shady deliver company and the dealer should be held responsible for their negligence.
