I get the sarc here but I believe the 6.8 is just a variant of the 7.3 Godzilla motor

I've been assured by the Gen 2 owners on FRF that the future of Ford is small engines boosted to the moon. Another new V8? No way. Ford's engineers are clearly stupid. Don't they know? V8s are dinosaurs!

6.8L will be an upgrade from the current 6.7L Powerstroke. This engine will only be used in Superduty applications.

Nobody originally said this was a diesel LOL. Well this is probably the best piece of info we managed to get. Thanks for clearing that up. Sounds like another 50+ lbs-ft for the big trucks.
