It appears forum member, Beinkounter, took his Raptor in for an issue and they replaced his muffler accidently with a Limited muffler and now it's all quiet.

So, since, I'm not the biggest fan of the stock exhaust on my 2019 Raptor and I actually am mildly interested in making it quieter, I wonder if this is a viable swap?

I'm not the biggest fan of the exhaust sound when I'm accelerating hard because everyone around me knows I'm accelerating hard. It has some appeal to be able to accelerate hard away from a light and the exhaust sound not be very noticeable.

Since the Limited is rated at the same 450hp as our Raptor's, I'm guessing exhaust flow is not compromised with this Limited muffler.

Here is the thread discussing the part #, etc.:

What do you guys think?

I agree with your sentiment and reasons 100%. I don't mind exhaust sound, per-say, just wish I could mash on it without announcing it to everyone within a block or so.

How many people are getting this done? I can't believe that Ford is the one who came up with the perfect sound now for this.

Old thread, I know. FWIW, I recently installed a 2020 Limited muffler on my Raptor and if anyone is wanting to quiet down their Raptor, I highly recommend this easy mod. The difference in sound is night and day. My Raptor is now every bit as quiet as my old 2018 3.5 Platinum throughout the powerband. Super happy! Only downside is it added probably ~20lb of weight and now I'm picking up on an interior rattle, lol.

:snoopfacepalm: not fan of this approach. If you wanted quiet, you should have bought a Lincoln.

Wait, is this the Limited muffler for $320? I’d be a buyer at that price point?

To each their own. I don’t like the “cow giving birth” exhaust note under acceleration. Some engines should be quiet and others should be loud IMHO.

The Ecoboost V6 is one that should be quiet. ;)
