I also recently installed my Diamondback HD. My four previous trucks have had a hard fiberglass tonneau cover, so basically no access to the front of the bed unless you climb in from the tailgate. My diesel 2500 was a long bed with bed rails higher than the Raptor, so definitely a climb to get to the front of the bed. The Diamondback is far easier for me to get to the front of the bed, but that locking bar is kind of annoying. It helps that I'm 6'5" and can reach over the bed rail without a stool. I’m looking at installing my ARB fridge at the front of the bed, so I would be opening the front cover multiple times daily when working.

I haven't really used my truck much since buying it two weeks ago tomorrow, I'm out of town for work with my car right now.

So after two months or so with this cover, I absolutely love the look of it. I just think it looks tough. And admit it, no one wants something that looks wimpy.

But, you knew there was a but. I rarely use my truck bed. The most I've put in this truck is groceries.

However, I just purchased Klipsch Cornwall IV speakers that come in two boxes strapped to a pallet. I will probably have to pick it up from the freight company about 30 miles away. Going to call and see how much they want to deliver it. But if I do have to go get it, I'm almost certain I will have to remove the entire damn cover, including the middle section that's bolted in.

Now that is just a royal PIA as compared to a roll-up cover which is what I had, 2 different types, on my last 2 raptors.

**************.

yeah, yeah, it's not the end of the world. And I do have the HD Diamondback so could strap it to the top, but how the hell do I get it off? It's damn heavy and I'm a wimp.

Maybe I'll have an antisocial distance BBQ and invite my buddy @Oldfart and @NASSTY to help me. I'll even wash their trucks while they lift it off.

Or, I could invite @911 Crazy and let him drool near, not on, but near a real Raptor.

Psst...take the speakers off the pallet 1 at a time. Or just ask your wife to do it.;)
