The 8spd in the Ram is a great transmission. If it behaves like the one I had in my 2016 Hellcat, it’s going to be a good setup for the TRX.

Prior to the Raptor I had been in a Dodge/Ram truck since October of 2002. I had a lot of high hopes for the TRX because my last three trucks were really good to me. The TRX feels like Ram got bored, threw some wider fenders and a Hellcat Motor in the Rebel, and called it good.

I like the part about how not only Ford Factory teams but others have raced Raptor's to victory. Says a lot. Will Ram do the same?

Good article, I like that they included some of the intangible things about Raptor ownership (Raptor Assault/Racing development/size difference in the real world/HP to weight) and didn't just ******** over 700 HP like almost any other car journalist now days.

I went on both sites and priced comparable trucks. A new Raptor would could me $72k while the similarly equipped TRX would cost $82k. Apples to apples, I would pay an extra $10k for a supercharged V8 if ford offered it.

I agree with the scab part but can't seem to overlook this;
