Oh man. WSI has a light bar for the bed I really liked but could never figure out where to buy one. I’m gonna dig into the new name and see if I can find it.

next time you talk to him can you ask about the bed mount light bar they used to have? Or maybe they have a new one?

any thoughts on paint matching your flares? I left mine white when I went with new glass. Def a clean look all black with bronze wheels. That’s my plan on my next truck.
Be careful with a light bar that just attaches to the bed rails. Lots of off-roading will tear your bed up. I had the WSI bar and ended up taking it off. Its not just the case of his, any of them will eventually do it.

He does have a website under the new name. He has product pictures and a brief description but ultimately you’ll have to call him to discuss what you’re wanting. I don’t have any experience with bed mounted light racks outside of seeing his on his truck. I believe it slightly differs from others in that it’s 2 pieces, each side separate, and your light bar becomes the joint. I don’t know what this design does for rigidity over time but I’m sure you could discuss concerns with him. Expanding on what Rick said, my thought on ANY bedrail mounted anything is that if you can fab up a second plate for underneath, essentially sandwiching the bed rail, and run a bar down to the bed floor, I think a lot of that stress would be eliminated. Could be wrong though

I do like paint matched flares. I had LineX sprayed on the flares of my first gen Tacoma, and after 4 years you couldn’t tell any sort of wear or fade. That’s probably the route I’ll end up taking. It’ll tie in nice with the factory running boards too

Wash, some paint correction, and tried out some new ceramic hybrid wax. I replaced the factory HID bulbs for marsauto 6000k HID bulbs, I got them on sale for $25 from amazon and they look much better than the factory 4300k bulbs, especially up against my baja fogs. I Also got my Ford esp contract started, 4 years 75,000 premium care. Never hurts to buy a little peace of mind. I recently have been replacing the rest of the halogen bulbs with led's. So far I have done the license plate bulbs, and front amber side markers. The interior was done by the previous owner. Puddle lights are next. Just bringing her up to date with small mods.a313bf5e52cbe6b62b8713d56e9e3b7e.jpg0782cba17a93116980ddffbbcba73a2e.jpgd578d9709f5ae5761cd8a0ef59075cff.jpg

So I've been kind of busy lately, lots of late night ops and drills for the new guys since we finally got clearance to start doing them since almost mid march, before I even arrived...

Updated a few small camping gear stuff since I have been hitting up the beach more recently; with any luck I should be able to do some full on camping in early spring before deploying.

Threw on some quickfist clamps on builtright mounts for mounting my trusty shovel (I've had that thing for years!)

And then I ended up buying a heavier duty awning mounts because I'm getting something a bit bigger down the line...

It raised the awning up about 4 inches which is awful for my short ass, but it has a lot of benefits including allowing the load bars to sit evenly on top.

For my first ACTUAL welding project, I could not be more pleased
