Yea, definitely take your time cleaning the engine bay and checking the fans. While I didn't do what you did, I did hit some mudholes probably too fast and got mud everywhere and a lot of it in the bay. I used some degreaser and a bunch of scrubbing to get it off. While not the same noise as you, I had a ticking noise. Think it was the fans being covered in mud. Once clean enough, noise went away.

Am I the only one who wants to see pictures of it buried in mud "up to the windows"? Something about that seems like a bit of a stretch of the imagination. I mean, I love these trucks, but I severely doubt one could get out of mud if it was buried that deep! Not without a LOT of help (like, maybe an excavator!) at least!
I would love to see that picture too, but I think he's probably referring to muddy water and not a long distance either, lol.

Well, whether it was muddy water or mud, I'm still not convinced that it was "buried it up to the windows". Was there mud splashed up onto the windows? Sure. But was the water/mud really 4.5' deep? Not a chance! Again, I'd love for it to be true, but I just can't see that happening!

Wash, and lube pulleys with the belt off. God willing that’s all you need. Good luck.
