I considered shopping for a rust free gen1, but never pursued it. I guess it's still an option if the gen2 doesn't work out.

Oldfart said it looked much better in person and my local dealer had just gotten this one in, so we went to check it out. Pictures definitely don't do it justice . First race red gen2 I've seen in person.

Race Red isnt only rare on the Raptors. the Ford website does a terrible job depicting colors accurate to real life. I used the view local inventory window and went to 12 different dealers to see every single color and option in person. I was pretty set on blue until i saw Race Red in person, F150 Race Red looks much different from Raptor Race Red. Im curious to hear your opinion between Gen 1 & Gen 2 when you get some miles on it.

So after a little over two months and 3800 miles of driving my new truck, I definitely like it better than my 2013 for the most part. Nanny features worry me. Power is nice and I really don't mind the 10 speed. Haven't off roaded it yet, but it's my daily driver, so it won't be anything extreme when I do. Oil change wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. Still considering a ford esp plan.....
Exhaust note doesn't really matter when the rest of the truck is so good. Driving my wife's 2013 back to back with my 2020 really allows you to notice the difference between the two.
