Protecting your Raptor in the Winter from Corrosion

? How long would it take to do the entire truck? I think I'll do mine in Virginia before heading home.

I would imagine it would not take more than an hour to spray the full undercarriage, maybe 1.5 hours max. I recall when I did it last winter, I gave it a spray then came back to hit any spots I missed the first time.

This year I am doing a combo and will use the Fluid Film on the Fox 3.0s and Amsoil everyplace else.

@Big Blue - do you have any pictures of your undercarriage you could post?

I considered them but decided to try Wool Wax first, I do however like their "Salt-Brine Eliminator" and used it prior to my coating this season. Gave 2 solid rinses on my wifes Legacy and the Raptor and probably have another couples years worth of it.

How does it hold up in high wash areas???

I truly don’t understand why you would use wool wax or especially fluid film over the amsoil product

fluid film on the shocks? Why? They’re not going to just rust & by the time they start getting grungy would need a rebuild & you’ll have brand new looking ones on then-

I think this would be an annual event. I used it on my old rubicon but it was too far gone at that point. I think it was pretty much done after winter.

I put NH on much heavier than how they show in their videos.

I'm starting new on my raptor so no precleaning is necessary. I have an undercarriage sprayer that attaches to my power washer I use in the spring. Again I started using this on cars that already had a ton of miles on them

Good point, will try put some Yamashield next season for the shocks. But at the rate Im driving while working from home its going to be a while before a rebuild lol. Use to log about 20k miles a year, dont think I will break 8k now.

I have always used Lear Chemicals ACF-50 have never tried the above mentioned stuff. Always had great results with it! But now my interest is spiked! This stuff seems a lot more readily available!

I have always like the ACF-50 on magnesium and bare aluminum because it corrodes so easily
